چکیده
During the last decade, it has been shown that W-containing IRIS-TiAl alloy displays promising properties for structural applications at high temperatures. The manufacturing process of this is divided into three successive steps: electrode production, powder atomisation and spark plasma sintering (SPS) densification. However, an IRIS densified by using pre-alloyed powders atomized EIGA (Electrode Induction melting Gas Atomisation) recently found to exhibit chemical heterogeneities. aim present work look origin such heterogeneities all along process. microstructures compositions material obtained after these different steps are thus investigated intermediate local scales various experimental tools. A particular attention paid distribution tungsten atoms in correlation constituent phases. Effects on mechanical measured performing tensile tests room It will be demonstrated issued from segregation occurring during first stage initial solidification electrode, prior atomisation.
